Kelly McManimon and her husband Ryan have been attending Real Life for about a year and are enjoying their first year of marriage.
Kelly tells of a recent answered prayer concerning an issue she has been facing.
"I have had very vivid dreams for years, and particularly nightmares. When I wake up, they leave me feeling uneasy and have tended to lead to daydreams where my mind continues to dwell.
Both the nightmares and the daydreams were causing me to not trust fully in people that I loved. I was constantly trying to think of who I could ask for help, always coming up empty.
After weeks of sermons on trust, a simple illustration triggered me to realize that I could trust in my Almighty Friend--the Lord! Feeling compelled all day to share what I had learned in service, I did that evening in my Life Group.
The group prayed over me that night and I felt the peace of Christ wash over me. "Praise God--my nightmares ceased instantly and have not come back! The Lord answered our prayer and released me from my nightmares!"

We will be beginning our fall with a Wednesday night time of worship. Special guest, Dave Pedde,
will be joining us for this extended time of worship. Dave Pedde is known for his passion to lead
believers and unbelievers alike in genuine encounters with God. In 2005, he released his third CD
entitled Windows. You do not want to miss this gathering! Join us Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m.
play date
Mothers and young children are invited to a play date Friday, August 22. This event will take place
from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Central Park in Roseville. This is a great opportunity for mothers and children
to get out and make some new friends. Please contact Holli Springer (651-587-2277) with any questions.

The Pastor’s Masters will “tee it up for the troops” on Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 a.m. followed
by a cookout. Sign-up sheets and additional information can be found at the Information Center.

Are you looking for a way to help the hungry and homeless
that’s easy, fun and will bring hope into someone’s life here in the Twin Cities? How about taking
part in the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities “Run with a Mission”? TODAY (Sunday, August 17) is the
last day to sign-up for the Real Life Church Team. Registrants will receive a 5K t-shirt, snacks and
the benefit of knowing that they are making a difference here in the twin cities. 5K proceeds will go
to the meals and care of men, women and children in need, here in our programs and in our community.
Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008, 8 AM
Where: Union Gospel Mission’s Ministry Center on Snail Lake
580 Hwy 96, Shoreview, MN
Registration fees: $15.00 per team member

It's pretty normal these days to have a "big question" or two (or ten!) that you need to get answered before
you feel like you can make more progress in the journey to find faith in God. Maybe you've had one or more of
these questions. Maybe a friend of yours has asked one of the questions. Together we will struggle through and
explore the ins and outs of the following mysteries:
