Real Lives @ RLC
Colton Fereira is the son of Jim and Linda Fereira and the brother of Kristin and Kailyn. The Fereira’s have been attending Real Life for over 10 years. Here’s Colton’s story!
“My name is Colton Fereira, and like any four year old boy, I love anything that involves running, jumping, climbing, or scaring mom!”
Shortly after his first birthday, Colton suddenly became very sick. Within just a day of being admitted to Children’s Hospital, he began to have seizures and was placed in the ICU. It was determined that he had viral encephalitis. Both sides of his brain were swollen, and that weekend, the doctors told my parents to prepare for the worst. Even if Colton survived, they said he would never walk, talk, or feed himself again.
“All during this time, my parents were constantly surrounded by people from Real Life Church—men from the church would come and stay late with my dad, someone from the church was always there; praying, visiting; some even stayed with me so my mom and dad could get a break. More importantly, they held a prayer meeting and believed for a miracle!”
After 10 days, Colton came home, and six months later, he was completely off all the anti-seizure medication! “My mom says I have a testimony, and some day I’ll understand what that means—but for now, I’m just enjoying the life of a healthy four year old!”

Welcome!
We’re glad you’re here! This site and it’s growing elements are designed to tell you more about Real Life Church.
This is a church that is intentionally created to be a place where you can learn more about God without feeling
pressured. You have time here to make sense of stuff. So come as you are—don’t worry about what to wear. (Our
pastor wears jeans, man.) We work hard to take off the masks of “everyone having a perfect life” and talk about
real life issues and problems. Let’s keep it practical, yet tell the truth and shoot straight. Over the years,
people have been saying that church doesn’t make sense to them anymore—but here at Real Life Church—we work hard
to help you make sense of it. We work hard to keep it real—but also keep it enjoyable! Ever laughed and had fun
in church? Then check it out here! Real, relevant, enjoyable—yet we’re pretty focused as well. We’re on a journey
in getting close with the real God. Come with us!

we are like in real life at Real Life Church. Check out our latest vids!
